Imagine introducing new staff members to your Company’s plans and vision. You invite everyone over, schedule the meeting, get everything ready for the presentation and then… disappointment. Ten minutes into your talk you notice you’ve already lost their attention.
Often businesses present their company overview using PowerPoint. The slide deck, that was built many years ago by someone, then adapted over time by many, has gradually become more and more stale and uninspiring.
Prezi’s new tool offers exciting opportunities and enables you to breathe new life into your presentation
However, we have some good news for you: the new PowerPoint Converter can help. Prezi’s new tool offers exciting opportunities and enables you to breathe new life into your presentation.
You can insert your slides easily, group them into sections (or ‘topics’ as we call them in Prezi), and then you instantly gain the ability to present in a conversational way instead of the usual linear approach.
Three simple steps to better engagement
Here are 3 simple steps to make the most out of converting your PowerPoint deck into Prezi:
1. After inserting your PowerPoint content, focus on the look and feel of your overview page. Make sure to add your brand colours and logo, but also use the STYLE>Background feature to search for an image that links to your content.
2. Right-click the topic covers to edit the look and feel of them. Far too many Prezi designs use circles as their topic covers. You can edit yours by using meaningful images or icons that link to the content held within each section. You can also use the INSERT>Shape & Layout options to do this.
3. Stop thinking in slides. This is the hardest thing to do, but we recommend putting your new Prezi into present mode (top right) and clicking through the content in a non-linear way. Then you’ll see how Prezi can really change the way you present.
