You may have seen some of our Videoscribe designs in the work section of this site. Sparkol are the guys responsible for the Videoscribe software and it seems they have also been busy tinkering away with a really interesting new app called TAWE which is available from the iTunes app store now. We think it’s a stroke of genius so here is a quick example of how it could be used.

What is TAWE?

TAWE (pronounced Tour) is a simple little app that allows you to upload a photo or take a new photo, and then use that image as the basis for your presentation. You select the areas to zoom into and focus on, and of course the order in which we move to those areas. Then once your flow is in place you can add your own audio narration (should you wish) to the presentation.
Really useful for:

  • Tracking someone’s journey on a map
  • Giving a tour of a room
  • Creating a puzzle by zooming close in to an object and then panning out to reveal what it is
  • Following the rise and fall of a line graph
  • Bringing focus to details of an object or work of art

The possibilities are endless and we are excited to see what people come up with. Why not head over to their website and try it for yourself!

Have fun with it and let us know what you create with TAWE.
