Want to make an awesome Prezi but feel you don’t have the eye for design? Or simply don’t know where to start? A background image could be the answer to all your woes. Prezi offers a vast space for you to be creative in, but some people feel it’s hard to fill this ‘empty space’ and make anything look worthy of presenting. Don’t overcomplicate things by adding lots of images, colours, or shapes, think about the tone of the presentation and the message you want to convey.
You have a big presentation in a few days and have to whip up something to wow the audience, but where do you start?
First thing’s first!
What is the presentation about? What tone of voice would best match your presentation? Is there an image to sum up the message you wish to convey?
Step 2
Once you have an idea in your head, find a suitable image to compliment your idea. There are a number of free image websites about, but we feel in this case www.unsplash.com have a beautiful selection of images which are up to date and stylish.
Step 3
Now you have your image & ideas, head over to Prezi and start a new presentation. Although you can’t start with a blank canvas in Prezi Next, we suggest you look for a template which best matches your vision. Look for which fonts and colours will complement the image (in some cases you won’t find a match, but it’s easy to change colours & fonts once in Prezi)
Step 4
Now you can inset your background image! Once in the Prezi, click the background, and in the top left corner you’ll see the ‘Background options’ button. Here you’re given the option to upload an image, click it and find your image. When you’re done click open, and Voilà!
Now your image in place, all that scary ‘empty space’ has gone. Let your creative slide flourish and wow your audience with your next presentation!
