The 106th edition of Tour de France took cyclists through 21 gruelling stages that stretched across 3,480 km (2,162 mi). The world’s greatest cycling event started on 6th July in Brussels and concluded on 28th July in Paris with a record win.
The race champion was 21-year old Egan Bernal, the first-ever Colombian cyclist to top the podium and the youngest race champion since World War II. Bernal crossed the line in the peloton, followed by his Ineos team-mate Geraint Thomas, who won the race in 2018.
Inspired by the Tour de France 2019 race, our designers created this interactive infographic by using one of our favourite tools for presenting data – Infogram. Easy to navigate, the infographic offers a quick overview of each stage and details such as start and finish line, the jerseys and the stage winner.
