Russell recently had the great pleasure of interviewing the professional speaker, David McQueen for the second time.

David is known for his professional and motivational speaking, as a presenter and from his podcast, The David McQueen Show. He is the owner and co-founder of Narratively. David loves to help people communicate better whether they are on stage, in a meeting or in negotiations.

In this engaging and fun conversation, we dive deep into some great topics. We explore how to present with confidence and most importantly how to handle the pressure of presenting.

We raise issues such as ‘can anyone be a confident speaker’ and David shares key insights into how to practice and prepare for your presentation.

David discusses how he has to control his talking speed when presenting and how you should speak with, not speak at your audience to deliver a truly engaging presentation.

We learn what techniques David feels are best suited to remain calm on stage and he explains his secret to successful public speaking. “Practice makes Permanent!”

We hope you enjoy this brilliant interview, subscribe for weekly presentation hints, tips and interviews at Once upon a slide.
